GearForms : Industrial Americana & Salvage Co.

Welcome to GearForms

GearForms uses reclaimed industrial and architectural materials to make unique, one of a kind sculptural furniture. Many of items you see here were once used as foundry patterns for large steel mills in the early part of the 1900’s.

Made from woods such as mahogany, poplar, oak, and sugar pine. Hand crafted by pattern makers from across the United States and south America, these forms were used to make sand molds and then cast into steel. End uses include printing presses, nautical vessels, machinery and public works like dams and bridges.

The new objects you see here have been carefully restored and reformed into functional works of art. The finish on many of the pieces is the original paint, varnishes and tags with the exception of a few small additions to add character to each piece.

GearForms welcomes custom orders and encourages a visit to our warehouse. Hundreds of objects have been collected in many shapes and sizes, waiting to be made into unique works of art for your Home, Business or Garden.
